Hydrogel lip patches are thin, cooling gel sheets that sit on the lips for a short care moment. In a lash and brow studio they solve a simple problem: during a lash lift, a brow lamination or a tint, your client lies still while the lotions or the dye process. A Noemi Gel Patch for Lips turns that waiting time into part of the treatment.
Used together with the matching under-eye patches, they let you offer a small, optional add-on service without making the appointment longer. Clients who enjoy it often want a pack for home, so the same product also works as a retail item at reception.
This guide explains what the two Noemi hydrogel patches contain, when to place them during a lift, lamination or tint, how to put them on your service menu, and how to talk about them honestly.
What are hydrogel lip patches?
A hydrogel patch is a soft, flexible gel sheet loaded with care ingredients. It sits on the skin, feels fresh and stays in place while the client relaxes. The lip version is shaped for the mouth, the eye version for the area under the eyes.
Noemi describes the lip patch (“Dreamy Lips”) as a nourishing refreshment that can be used as an additional service to pamper your clients. It is also intended for studio sales, so clients can use it at home.

Hydrogel eye patches: the matching under-eye care
The Noemi Gel Patch for Eyes (“Eye Zone Mask”) follows the same idea for the under-eye area. Noemi lists peach extract, centella asiatica, collagen, vitamin E and hyaluronic acid as its nutrients, and each pack contains 30 pairs (60 pieces).
Use the eye patches on clean skin and follow the included instructions. Many artists offer lips and eyes as one small care ritual, or let the client choose one of the two.
Where the eye patch must not go
In lash work the under-eye area is often your working zone. During a lash lift you may use pads, a lower lash shield or tape there, and during a lower lash tint the dye sits right at the lash line. As a rule, place a gel patch only where it does not touch the treated area, the lotions or your shields. If there is no free space, skip the eye patch for that service and offer the lip patch instead.
During a brow lamination or brow tint, the under-eye area is usually free, so the eye patch is easier to combine there.

When to apply lip patches during a lash lift, lamination or tint
The best moment is once your chemical or colour step is on and you are waiting. Your hands are free, the client is lying down, and a patch adds comfort without taking extra appointment time.
During a lash lift
- Cleanse, place the pads and set the lashes as usual.
- Apply Step 1 and start your timer.
- Wipe your gloves, then place the lip patch on clean lips.
- Continue with the next steps on time. Remove the patch before the client sits up, or at the end of the processing time.
Your lift workflow itself stays the same. If you work with a two-step system such as the one in our Noemi Innovate Step 1 and Step 2 Fix guide, the patch fits into either waiting phase.
During a brow lamination or tint
Brow lamination has several timed steps, so there is plenty of space for a lip patch and, if the under-eye area is free, an eye patch. The brow lamination step-by-step guide shows where the waiting phases are. For a tint, place the patch after the colour is applied.
Lifts, laminations and tints are chemical services, so the usual patch test and the instructions of the lotion or dye still apply. The gel patches do not replace any of those steps.
How to offer gel patches as an add-on service
An add-on works best when it is easy to say yes to. Keep it simple and visible.
- Name it clearly on your menu, for example “Lip care patch” or “Lip and eye care ritual”, and add one sentence describing it.
- Offer it at booking as an optional extra, so the client decides before the appointment.
- Mention it once in the chair, before you start the lotion step, not halfway through.
- Bundle it with services that already include waiting time: lash lift, brow lamination, lash and brow tint.
- Let regulars try it first. Their feedback tells you whether the add-on fits your studio.
Many studios also add it to a “full care” version of the lift or lamination. That keeps the menu short and makes the upgrade easy to understand.
Retail for home use
Noemi positions both patches for studio sales as well. A client who liked the feeling in the chair is the easiest person to sell a pack to.
- Keep one pack of each on the reception desk, next to aftercare products.
- Suggest the patches together with Noemi Brow & Lash Argan Creme, the nourishing final-step cream for lashes and brows after colouring and lamination.
- Explain the home routine in one sentence: clean lips or skin, place the patch, follow the instructions on the pack.
For a complete overview of what else belongs in a professional lift station, see the lash lift kit checklist.
Hygiene: one patch per client
- Use one new patch (or pair) per client and discard it after use.
- Ask the client to remove lipstick or lip balm, or clean the lips yourself before placing the patch.
- Handle patches with clean gloves or tweezers, and close the pack straight away.
- Do not place a patch on irritated or broken skin.
Client communication without overclaiming
Describe what the patch is and how it feels, not a medical result. Good wording: “a hydrogel patch with peach extract, hyaluronic acid and vitamins that refreshes your lips while the lotion works.” Avoid promises such as “fuller lips” or “removes wrinkles”, which the product description does not claim.
Name the ingredients from the pack if a client asks. If a client has known sensitivities, let them read the ingredient list first and skip the patch if in doubt.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Placing the eye patch on the working area during a lash service, where it can shift pads or touch lotion.
- Applying the patch before the lotion step, then having to work around it.
- Forgetting to remove it before the client sits up or before rinsing.
- Offering it too late, when the client is already halfway through the service.
